On July 25, 2008, from 6 - 9 PM, Water Tiger School will be holding a Fundraiser at Patchogue's Alive After Five. Our aim is to collect money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. It is the policy of St. Jude Hospital that no family pays for treatment beyond what is covered by insurance. St. Jude is at the forefront of research into catastrophic childhood illness, and has treated children from all 50 states and from more than 70 countries. Currently, there is a Suffolk County child in treatment at the Hospital, 64 children from New York, and 104 NY alumni. 100% of the funds raised by Water Tiger School will be going to St. Jude, which promises 86% of donations goes back to the Hospital. This money aids both in research and in making St. Jude a "Hospital Without Walls," treating the most difficult children's cases from all over the country, and allowing parents to remain close, in their Target House, Ronald McDonald House and the Memphis Grizzlies House, free of charge if the family cannot afford it.
Water Tiger School will present a series of demonstrations throughout the evening. Unlike demonstrations during other Alive After Five events, the fundraising demonstrations will be continuous for the three hours.
Last year's event raised $2,425. To date, Water Tiger School is proud to have donated a total of $6,238 to the Hospital, through the hard work and dedication of our participants and the extreme generosity of those who supported our event, both financially and physically. Thank you.
If you would like to use a credit card to sponsor one of our participants, you may still do so by clicking the Donate button next to the appropriate photo. You may also make a general donation to our Fundraiser by clicking the Donate button at the bottom of the page.
We offer a sincere thank you for your generosity.

Laurince McElroy Your
generous donation will help me serve myself... The story goes that a friend once inquired if Gandhi's aim in settling in the village and serving the villagers as best he could was purely humanitarian. Gandhi replied, "I am here to serve no one else but myself, to find my own self-realization through the service of these village folk." | ![]() | ||
