There are currently no events to report for things Water Tiger. In the coming months, we’ll continue working on finding a new home for our annual World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day and T’ai Chi in the Park events. We’ll keep you posted as things develop. Check back here or visit us on our Facebook page to stay current.

World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day and T’ai Chi in the Park

Sailing into a Yin Yang horizon. Art by David Chen.

Since August of this year, after we ended our 17-year collaboration with the Village of Patchogue, we’ve been working with Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Edward P. Romaine and the Town’s Department of Parks & Recreation to secure locations for both World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day (the last Saturday in April) and T’ai Chi in the Park (four Saturdays at the beginning of summer and four Saturdays at the end of summer).

Although the process is not over, we’re pleased to be able to announce that we are entering into the permit process with Brookhaven to hold World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day at Diamond in the Pines (1844 Route 112; Coram) and T’ai Chi in the Park at Medford’s Peppermint Park (2215 Route 112).

As our efforts continue, we will keep you informed, here and on our Facebook page, as to any additional progress we make.
