It was with a certain sadness when we announced that our off-schedule Sachem in Medford class on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, was our last time on the mat at 2030 Route 112 in Medford. This became necessary after our hosts, Suffolk Aikikai, informed us they were closing their doors and other options regarding staying in the space were ultimately determined to be untenable. By the next day, Wednesday, October 17, 2018, however, we were very happy to announce that we had secured a new home with 4GK Martial Arts in East Patchogue. The changeover was almost seamless and we were dark only for a few days. Our full schedule resumed at 4GK on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Depending upon which class on the schedule, we are either use 4GK’s main training space on the ground floor or their training deck in the facility’s basement.
