In August of 2017, Water Tiger ended our 17-year relationship with the Incorporated Village of Patchogue as a co-sponsor of our annual events.

August 2017

After much consideration, Water Tiger decided it was in the best interest of both our annual events, World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day (the last Saturday in April) and T’ai Chi in the Park (four Saturdays at the beginning of summer and four Saturdays at the end of summer), to end our 17-year collaboration with the Village of Patchogue.

We are currently working to find a new collaborator to serve as host for both events for 2018 and beyond.

October 2017

Supervisor Edward P. Romaine, Town of Brookhaven, has voiced his commitment to seeing our two events, World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day (the last Saturday in April) and T’ai Chi in the Park (four Saturdays at the beginning of summer and four Saturdays at the end of summer), continue. We are currently working with the Town of Brookhaven’s Department of Parks & Recreation to secure locations for both events.

Though nothing is finalized, we can say that we’ve reached a tentative agreement to hold T’ai Chi in the Park in Medford’s Peppermint Park (2215 Route 112). We are still reviewing possibilities for World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day.

December 2017

Although the process is not over, we’re pleased to be able to announce that we are entering into the permit process with Brookhaven to hold World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day at Diamond in the Pines (1844 Route 112; Coram) and T’ai Chi in the Park at Medford’s Peppermint Park (2215 Route 112).

January 2018

We’re happy to announce that is now official: this year, we will be holding World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day at Diamond in the Pines (1844 Route 112; Coram) and T’ai Chi in the Park at Medford’s Peppermint Park (2215 Route 112).

Since August of this year, after we ended our 17-year collaboration with the Village of Patchogue, we’ve been working with Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Edward P. Romaine and the Town’s Department of Parks & Recreation to secure locations for both World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day (Saturday; April 28, 2018) and T’ai Chi in the Park (Saturdays; June 2, 9, 16, 23 & August 4, 11, 18, 25, 2018). We hope that 2018 is only the beginning of our collaboration with the Town of Brookhaven.
